Directory

The Directory module gives you a quick way to find businesses and contacts. Access the directory from the My Communications tray on your menu bar.

This has views for Businesses and Contacts. Move between the views by selecting these from the tab bar near the top of the page.

Businesses

This view provides a table of all your connected businesses. Use the table filters and sorting to quickly find the business you are looking for.

When you select a business from the table you will be shown details of the business alongside a list of contacts and locations associated with that business.

Users with edit permissions can

  • add new businesses by clicking the Add.. button.
  • edit a business by clicking the Edit Mode button.
  • add or edit contacts and locations clicking on the pencil icon next to the contact or location detail.

Note: EIIƎ data structures recognises that businesses can be customers, but also be partners, suppliers and other relationships. Information typically common to the business level forms part of the Business entity in EIIƎ. Information relating to that business as a customer is held in the Customer entity. This allows for a single business to have multiple relationships with your organisation. Navigate to the Customer view to view or edit customer-level details.

Contacts

This view provides a table of all your business contacts. Sort and search the table to find your contact.

Select a contact to view the contact details.

Users with edit permissions can

  • edit a contact by clicking the Edit Mode button.

Note: Add new contacts by adding a new contact to a business from the Business Directory view or from the Customer view. This will automatically add the contact to the contacts list and ensure the contact remains connected to the business.
